The Oxfordshire Association of Local Councils OALC is part of a national network and has been representing Town & Parish Councils, and Parish Meetings.
- We provide advice and information for them, and training for councillors and clerks. We represent local council interests through partnerships with other local and regional agencies in the public, private and voluntary sectors. OALC is a membership organisation that represents the interests of affiliated parish and town councils, and parish meetings. More than 90% of councils in the county are members.
- There are 249 Town and Parish Councils and 68 Parish Meetings in Oxfordshire. These range in size from less than 100 to over 30,000 electors. The larger councils include Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Didcot, Henley, Thame, Wallingford, Wantage, and Witney Town Councils; and Kidlington Parish Council.
