The picturesque village of Parson Drove is situated approximately 5 miles west of the nearest town of Wisbech. The historic town of Wisbech, with its river port, is known as The Capital of The Fens.
The Parish Council comprises of 7 voluntary Councillors who normally serve for a term of 4 years and represent the electorate of the Parish of Parson Drove. The serving Councillors term ends in May 2011.
The Council employs 1 part-time member of staff who is the Clerk and Financial Officer.
The Council normally meets on the second Wednesday of each month with additional meetings when necessary. Agendas are displayed in the notice board on the village green and on the village website. Members of the public are welcome to attend the council meetings and speak for 15 minutes during public participation. |
