These are usually turned on by default. The information in the lefthand column of this page displays key information about your browser. This information is unique to you and only visible by you. This is hoped to help sort out any problems you may have using the site.
The first 3 sections show basic information about your IP address, browser used and operating system.
The Browser Plugin Status displays whether flash is enabled, if it is not you may not be able to use the video tutorials. Is Windows Media Player installed, if not the video tutorials may not work. Is acrobat reader installed, without which you may not be able to view site documents. Please not these tests do NOT apply to Linux or Mac operating systems which use other software.
Under Browser Settings the following information is displayed...
- Screen resolution - if your screen is less than 800*640 you may have problems viewing the site
- Javascript enabled/disabled - if disabled you may not be able to login or use the site, menus may not work properly
- Cookies enabled/disabled - if disabled the site may not work properly. You must have session cookies set as a minimum
- Style sheets enabled/disabled - if disabled the web site will NOT display correctly. Applies to very old browsers or incorrectly configured browsers.
- Smooth fonts enabled/disabled - no direct impact on view site display slower if enabled
- Show images enabled/disabled - pages may have blanks of text displayed
