Q: There's been a fraud at our Parish Council, who's responsible?

A: Your parish councillors are Individually and collectively legally responsible for protecting taxpayers’ money and the proper control of the Parish Council's finances. This not the parish clerks role.

Your Parish Council must ensure that they have proper procedures and controls in place to prevent or identify fraud.
