A: At it's most basic level any parish or town council that has gained Quality Council status has demonstrated a number of important points to be taken on board by its residents, district council, county council and the other parish and town councils that surround it.

• This council has been motivated to test its processes and procedures against a national standard

• In achieving Quality Council status this council has been found to be competent and well run

• This council has validated its ability to be a valuable partner and achieve more for its community

The real question is - if your council has no aspirations in becoming a Quality Parish Council what message is being sent to you and other residents?
