What is a multi use games area?

  • There have been the hundreds, possibly even thousands of multi use games areas (MUGA) installed across the country
  • The majority are hard surface play areas or courts of some description for the likes of tennis, basketball, netball or 5 a side football
  • Generally when funded by grants the areas are free to use or have specific free to use times
  • Some may charge for evening use especially if the area is floodlit
